Jay Murchison
President and CEO
Jay began his career in the IT industry more than 20 years ago. Since then, he has worked for local and global corporations and held various positions in sales and account management, but his real passion has always been networking.
As an owner of Concero, Jay created the culture and work environment that he has always wanted — lots of camaraderie, competition, and opportunity for financial and career success. And while success has many facets, Jay measures his through his team. From coaching each employee to achieve their best to finding the right candidates for Concero’s clients, it takes a team that is engaged, excited and people focused.
Jay earned a business degree in management from the University of Missouri, where he was a two-sport letterman (football and track). He was a four-year starter for the Mizzou Tigers football program.

With extensive experience in project-based IT staffing solutions, he has helped startups and Fortune 100 companies secure the resources needed to help their projects succeed, and make their companies grow.

During that time, he saw the good – and the not so good – sides of the recruitment industry. Starting Concero was an opportunity to build a company that could adapt and improve on industry best practices.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Missouri State University, where he played Division 1 basketball. He was elected into the Missouri State University Hall of Fame in 2017.
